Donkey Sanctuary

The project

The Donkey Sanctuary in Aruba takes care of 130 donkeys. As part of ther project, volunteers will help with the sanctuary husbandry routine: Provide donkeys with food and water, carry out health checks and clean/ maintain the area. You will also assist vet visiting sanctuary, and have the opportunity to work in the shop and deal with visitors and their visit.

Volunteers can spend time in a local vet surgery observing and supporting the vetinary staff. You could also take part in a street dog and neutering project.

Depending on the season of the activity trainees may have chance to be involved with turtle conservation or work in the national park.
