Belgium – Call for 5 volunteers

Description

Service Volontaire International (SVI) is looking for 5 international volunteers to join their team at Festival Esperanzah, one of Belgiumโ€™s most vibrant cultural festivals, from 11 July to 1 August 2025. Volunteers will contribute to the organization of the festival โ€” supporting with assembly, waste management, ticketing, and general logistics โ€” all while being part of a diverse and dynamic volunteer crew.

SVI also invites volunteers to discover their brand new social volunteering project โ€œCafรฉ Mondeโ€, launched in collaboration with Belrefugees and based in Louvain-la-Neuve. This long-term project focuses on creating a welcoming space for intercultural dialogue, especially supporting people with refugee backgrounds.

All practical details and participation fees are available in SVIโ€™s official brochure, which you can download here.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

For Festival Esperanzah, volunteers will be accommodated in shared group housing arranged by the hosting team. Meals and other arrangements may vary. For the Cafรฉ Monde project, housing is organized in collaboration with local partners. Full logistical details are provided upon selection.

Training during the activity

Introductory training is provided for all volunteers. For Cafรฉ Monde, additional training focuses on intercultural dialogue, community engagement, and non-formal learning methods, with the support of a local coordination team.

Participant profile

These opportunities are open to young people aged 18โ€“30, with a focus on motivation, team spirit, and interest in social and cultural exchange. No prior experience is required, but a proactive and open-minded attitude is key. These are genuine volunteering experiences โ€” not tourism โ€” and volunteers are expected to take on responsibilities and contribute meaningfully.
