Mechanics Depalm – Vocational Training

Duration

  • Short term groups: 2-3 weeks
  • Individual graduated students: 2-3 months

About the project

Tur Cos Ta Posibel provides short placements in Aruba for mechanics students, offering experience with a variety of vehicles, including coaches, SUVs, dune buggies, and a submarine. Suitable for both apprentices and college-based students, our program accommodates groups of 8 students and 2 tutors from vocational or technical colleges for 2-3 weeks.

Projects are tailored to match learners’ study levels and specific fields, with one week on the day shift handling incoming repairs and one week on the afternoon/evening shift focusing on scheduled maintenance work.

Our aim is to provide hands-on experience and cultural immersion, enhancing skills and understanding of mechanics practices in Aruba, including the opportunity to work on unique vehicles like a submarine. Students participate in activities such as general servicing, diagnostic repairs, and assembling buggies that arrive in parts. They also visit local sites like WEB, the water desalination plant, to understand purification processes. This program offers practical learning opportunities and deepens students’ knowledge of mechanics in Aruba’s diverse environment.
