About the project

Tur Cos Ta Posibel partners with local arts organizations to offer creative arts placements in cultural settings across Aruba. These tailored programs can meet the needs of participating institutions and can include:

  • Learning Aruban art forms
  • Exploring the impact of murals in St. Nicolas, with opportunities to assist in mural or mosaic creation
  • Participating in Dream Dare Do, a summer program supporting Aruban youth through creative arts and dance workshops, in partnership with Popcorn Club and Gange De Arte
  • Engaging in Aruba Art or Fashion Week, where St. Nicolas hosts large-scale professional events, which students can join (in partnership with Artisa)

Additionally, art students can visit Aruba’s galleries and support local organizations by delivering art workshops for children, the disabled, and long-term trainees. There are also opportunities to work with prisoners or ex-prisoners involved in the probation service.

  • Learn about arts on Aruba compare and contrast methods of home country
  • Experiment with methods and tools
  • Engage in design projects
  • Adapt to climate challenges (e.g., faster setting times)
  • Adjust work hours as needed
  • Learn how art impacts Aruba
  • Implement site prep, cleaning, and safety
