Call for partners: Coffee with Garlic โ€“ Youthworker Seminar (K01)

Dear Youthwork Organisation, we are planning a seminar in February 2025 using the next Erasmus+ application deadline to invite 15 international youthworkers to join our youth workers in Aruba, where we will undertake a weeklong seminar considering the impact culture shock can have on young people with fewer opportunities when engaging with international mobility activities.

Coffee with Garlic will invite 15 youthworkers (maximum 2 per organisation) to spend a week immersed in our Caribbean culture and also working together to create new opportunities for young people experiencing obstacles.

During a successful KA02 project we are starting to discover the deep fear many young people experiencing barriers have in travelling, we offer free, amazing international opportunies, but often these are not being accessed by the people we would like to reach, during our research on discovering why this is so, the overriding factor was fear of the unknown and leaving their comfort zone. We would like to increase the access to opportunities for this target group and to achieve this we plan a number of activities in 2025 beginning with Coffee with garlic youthworker seminar.

During this seminar we will first consider culture shock and fear of the unknown and look at how this effects young people with fewer opportunities more than their peers who have opportunities readily available. Secondly with your shared skills and knowledge we would like to create tools which will make international mobility more accessible for our target group.

We are looking for 7 partner organisations, please read the criteria below and if you are interested visit our website to download the document we need to you complete. The deadline for receiving interest is 10th February 2024
