ADIEU – Discover EU inclusion | Tur Cos Ta Posibel

Tur Cos Ta Posibel are thrilled to be planning the first Discover EU inclusion activity departing Aruba to visit three European Countries this summer. We have a group of five young people joining us from EPB, Britannia FC and Olympia Athletics club to enjoy a packed two weeks of sports activities meeting our European peers in Netherlands (3×3 Unites basketball club) France where we will meet may international youths at the French NA’s Discover EU meet up and with our partner Sport Dans La Ville.

We have an action packed project planned, where our group will be taking part in new sports activities from water skiing to disc golf, sharing typical Arubian food with our European peers and tasting their cuisine. Visiting a number of EU cities, and following an invitation to the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games we will visit the European Parliament to take part in a role play game where we will work in imaginary political groups and step into the shoes of Members of the European Parliament. By debating on actual issues and themes, our group will learn how European Union legislation is created and how the future of Europe is forged. We will experience consulting interest groups and forming alliances to negotiating with other institutions and speaking to the media. Should be an interesting end to an intensive fortnight!

Unfortunately the European Commission grant only covers 70% of the travel costs for our group so we are currently fundraising for this. The group so far have raised nearly €3,000 to cover the shortfall of the project. Well done everyone we are looking forward to following your journey!
