Andrea’s ESC project in Aruba – European Solidarity Corps

🎥 Andrea’s story about his ESC project in sport, teamwork and event management in Aruba

As his ESC project in Aruba comes to an end, we are very happy to share the story of Andrea, our European Solidarity Corps volunteer from Italy.

Over the past weeks, Andrea has been part of the Tur Cos Ta Posibel family, taking part in an ESC volunteering project linked to the Beach Tennis Open Championship in Aruba. From the early preparation stages to the tournament itself, he supported the organisation of this major international sporting event.

Andrea contributed to preparing the beach and the courts, setting up the playing fields and stands, maintaining the courts during matches, and assisting athletes before and after games. Beyond the practical work, his project offered a real learning experience in teamwork, time management, stress management, and understanding the organisation behind a large-scale sporting event.

We are truly grateful for Andrea’s commitment, energy and openness throughout his project. His experience shows how sport can be a powerful tool for learning, inclusion and personal growth.
