2026 projects – Childcare

The project

We will host volunteers in local childcare and youth development activities. Volunteers will have the opportunity to support local kindergartens, daycare centres, and after-school programmes that work with children aged 0 – 12.

Volunteers will assist educators and caregivers in daily activities, help organize educational, creative, cultural, and recreational workshops, support outdoor games and sports activities, and contribute to creating a safe, positive, and stimulating environment for children. The role also includes supporting special events, celebrations, and activities that encourage children’s learning, creativity, and social development.

Volunteers will be involved in the daily activities of one or more childcare organisations and will have the opportunity to bring their own ideas, talents, and cultural background into the activities they facilitate.

For the project, volunteers need to be …

  • Interested in working with children and supporting their development
  • Patient, caring, and responsible
  • Creative and willing to organize games and workshops
  • Flexible and open-minded when working in different environments
  • Confident to communicate and interact with children, staff, and families
  • Motivated to learn and contribute to the local community
  • Positive, proactive, and willing to try new things with different groups of children
