2) What is the ESC volunteering programme?

ESC Individual Volunteering projects offer young people aged 18–30 the opportunity to engage in long-term, full-time voluntary work abroad or in their home country, typically lasting from 2 to 12 months. These projects focus on addressing key societal challenges, such as social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and cultural development, while fostering personal and professional growth. Participants are fully supported with funding for travel, accommodation, meals, insurance, and pocket money, ensuring accessibility to all, including those with fewer opportunities. ESC Individual Volunteering allows participants to immerse themselves in a new culture, contribute meaningfully to a community, and gain valuable skills and experiences tailored to their interests and goals.
